| Jim HandClinical Solutions ConsultantMicrosoft CorporationAs a Clinical Solutions Consultant for the Health Solutions Group at Microsoft, Jim Hand is responsible for supporting the Microsoft Health Solutions Group throughout the United States and Canada. In this role, Jim is a subject matter expert for the Microsoft Amalga Unified Intelligence System. Jim began his career as a registered nurse specializing in critical care and emergency. In 1996, he stepped out as an entrepreneur and opened AMH Group, a healthcare IT consulting and continuing education services resource for physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare personnel. His impressive client list includes The American Heart Association, Allscripts, Kaiser Permanente, Emory Healthcare, Bon Secours Health System of Richmond, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. AMH Group continues to provide high-quality consulting and education services to clients today. In addition to his role at Microsoft, Jim acts as a American Heart Association Training Center Faculty member in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support. Jim comes to Microsoft from McKesson, where he was a Client Executive in charge of procuring and managing several major national hospital accounts. In that role, Jim was responsible for all components of a complex selling process including, but not limited to arranging presentations, demonstrating key products, conducting site visits, and leading contract negotiations. Prior to his work with McKesson, Jim worked as a consultant for A4 Health Systems (now Allscripts), then as Vice President of Sales for ECDS EmpowER Systems. A native of Lowell, Massachusetts, Jim is a graduate of Emory University with a bachelor's degree in Nursing and holds an MBA from Mercer University Stetson School of Business and Economics. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, cooking, hiking, biking (both motor and bicycle) and volunteer work. He currently resides outside of Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Anne and three children; 20-year old son Michael, 14-year old Emily and 9-year old Abigail. |
